The Definition of Orient
- Align or position (something) relative to the points of a compass or other specified positions.
- Find one’s position in relation to unfamiliar surroundings.
- Guide (someone) in a specified direction.
- Tailor or adapt (something) to specified circumstances.
“One of the major reasons why I am so passionate about CrossFit is because of its definition of fitness with the focus towards functionality and general physical preparedness. It is the main reason why I train, to be prepared for the unknown and the unknowable. It gives the time that I invest and the effort that I put in to coaching and training significance. Knowing that what you do so passionately really matters and impacts other peoples’ lives. With this in mind I searched for a word that signifies this and relates to me the most, hence the word Orient.”
